Repair Warranty

1. Definitions. Reference to “us”, “we” and “our” refer to SEKI GADGETS and references to “you” and “your” are references to you, the customer. References to “device” refer to the iPhone, iPad, Phone, tablet or any other device repaired by SEKI GADGETS subject to these repair warranty terms. References to “ticket”, “repair”, and “service” refer to the repair ticket containing details of the repair/s that were performed on the device subject to these repair warranty terms.

2. Non-Transferrable. This repair warranty is not transferrable.

3. Warranty Period. The repair warranty shall last for a period of:

Beginning at the date of repair or invoice date, whichever is earliest. Repairs or replacements shall not extend the warranty period, restart the warranty period or roll-over the warranty period. The repair will be covered by the balance of time remaining on your original limited warranty.

4. We warrant the device to be free from faulty parts and/or workmanship during the warranty period.

5. The warranty is not offered on devices where we are unable to test the device prior to repair.

6. The warranty is not offered on parts or components that are not directly related to the service work (as recorded in the Repair Ticket) that was originally carried out on the device.

7. We may offer to repair the defect/s, replace it with another or offer a full refund of the purchase price less any postage costs. It shall be at our discretion to decide which option to offer you. Replacement parts may include aftermarket or remanufactured or refurbished parts or components.

8. The warranty does not cover any of the following:

Any product on which the serial number and/ or the IMEI has been defaced, modified or removed.
Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, unauthorised product modification, or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product.
Repair or attempted repair by anyone other than SEKI GADGETS.
Unauthorised software modifications including unlocking of the device resulting in damage to the device.
Damage to or loss of any programs, data or removable storage media.
Software or data loss occurring during repair or replacement.
Any damage to the product due to shipment.
Causes external to the product, such as power surges or failure, including but not limited to charging IC “Tristar” damage.
Normal wear and tear (e.g scratches to touchscreen, chassis, battery aging).
Damage caused by static (non-moving) images displayed for lengthy periods of time (also known as “image burn”).
Software modifications not limited to restore or approved software/or firmware updates such as jailbreaking, downloading unauthorised or unapproved software, viruses, malware, spyware, any third-party software included with the product or installed by the customer.
Hardware/Accessories/Parts/Components – Installation of any unauthorised hardware, accessories, consumable parts or components (e.g. Batteries).
Damage to, or abuse of, the coating on the surface of the display through incorrect cleaning.
LCD or glass damage due to physical damage. Including LCD only damage.
The product sold and labelled as “AS IS”, “WITH ALL FAULTS” or similar disclaimer, including replacement of missing parts or accessories from those sales, or purchased through an unauthorised online seller.
Removal, installation, and set-up service charges.
Any other cause which does not relate to the product.

9. Proof of Purchase. This warranty is linked to a specific device as identified by its unique IMEI or serial number and to a specific Customer as identified by the records in our database. You must retain a copy of the repair ticket or invoice as proof of purchase. We reserve the right to reject any warranty claim where you are unable to produce proof of purchase.

10. Device Preparation. Before receiving warranty service, you should remove all personal information that you want to protect, sign-out of all social media, online banking, email accounts and disable all security options including find my, face id, fingerprint id, and screen lock codes/passwords. We reserve the right to refuse service or warranty processing on the device if you are unable to provide the passcode.

11. Your Data. You should make periodic backup copies of the information contained on the device to protect the contents and as a precaution against possible operational failures. During warranty service, the contents of the storage media may be deleted and reformatted. We are not responsible for any loss of software programs, data or other information contained on the storage media or any other part of the device serviced. We are not responsible for loss of data on the device under any circumstances. You are encouraged to back up all data stored on the device.

12. Warranty Seals. All repairs carried out by SEKI GADGETS have warranty seals applied. Whenever a device is returned for a warranty repair the integrity of these seals are confirmed. If these seals are found to be missing or tampered with, SEKI GADGETS reserves the right to void any warranty attached to the device. Do not attempt to open the device. Opening the device may cause damage that is not covered by this warranty. Only we should perform service on this device.

13. We reserve the right to change the method by which we may provide warranty service to you, and your device’s eligibility to receive a particular method of service.

14. Our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the parts.

15. Waiver Of Liability. We shall not be liable for any claims of damage to other property caused by any defect in the product, damages based upon inconvenience, loss of use of the product, loss of time, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill, interference with business relationships, or other commercial loss, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Any other damages, whether incidental, consequential, direct, indirect, or otherwise. This includes but is not limited to any travel or transportation costs or loss or damage to accessories.

16. Liquid Damage. Any device that has liquid damage present prior to repair shall be void of any warranty and is completed at your own risk. We may determine this through signs of visible liquid present, residue of liquid or activation (including salt or rust buildup) or the liquid contact indicators in the device.

17. Software Services. No warranty including this one shall apply to any software related services such as device restore, factory restore, virus removal, device setup, data export or data transfer.

18. Transit Damage. You are responsible to inspect all goods received from us upon arrival. In instances where goods have been damaged in transit, you must report this to us within 3 days of receipt of the device. Failure to report physical damage on arrival within 3 days of receipt may result in denial of warranty claim.

19. In the event that a replacement, refund, or credit is provided, the faulty item will become the property of SEKI GADGETS.

20. We may seek reimbursement of any costs incurred where upon arrival and inspection, the device is found to be free of faulty parts and/or workmanship and/or faults are completely unrelated to the services performed by us (as recorded in the Repair Ticket), thereby resulting in denial of warranty claim.

21. We reserve reasonable discretion to determine whether any device, product or service is or is not performing in accordance with specifications.

22. Variation. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of this warranty at any time. The most recent version shall be deemed to be in effect.

23. SEKI GADGETS is the warrantor under this warranty.

24. Liability. We aggregate liability in respect of all claims under the warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product or service to the device or, at our option, the replacement of the product with a like or similar product.

25. Severability. If a court finds any part of these terms illegal, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable, the rest will continue in full force and effect. Each of the paragraphs in these terms operates separately.

26. Governing Law. These terms are governed by the Laws of Australian Capital Territory, Australia. The Parties hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian Capital Territory courts in relation to any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms.
