Step 2: Drop Off or Post It
Same DayBring it to your appointment, or pack it securely and post it with Australia Post, tracked and without signature.
Step 3: We Assess and Quote
On ArrivalWe open it up, check the fan, heatsink and liquid metal, and email you a written quote to approve or decline.
Step 4: Service & Return
1 to 2 Working DaysApprove the quote and we service your PS5. Collect it, or we return it by Australia Post Express, tracked and signed.

Signs Your PS5 Needs a Service

How much does a PS5 cleaning service cost?
Our PS5 overheating and cooling service is $175 to $250, depending on model and fault. A standard thermal service sits at the lower end, and board-level work such as a torn fan connector sits higher. Your price is confirmed in a written quote before we start.
Does the PS5 use thermal paste or liquid metal?
Every PS5 model uses liquid metal between the processor and the heatsink, not thermal paste. It moves heat far better, but it can degrade or shift over time and it conducts electricity, so it must be handled with care. We remove the old metal and apply fresh liquid metal in every thermal service.
How often should I get my PS5 serviced?
Every 8 to 12 months for heavy use, or every 12 to 18 months for medium to light use. Dusty rooms, pets and closed cabinets shorten that. Between services, keep the vents clear and dust the outside regularly.
Why is my PS5 fan so loud?
A loud PS5 fan most often means the liquid metal on the APU has moved, leaving dry spots that stop heat reaching the heatsink, so the fan runs harder. Standing the console upright makes that more likely, dust makes it worse, and a closed cabinet or wall adds heat.
Can overheating damage my PS5?
Your PS5 shuts itself down to protect against heat, but repeated overheating puts strain on the board over time. A service at the first signs, such as a loud fan or random shutdowns, is the simplest way to avoid a board-level repair later.
Can I clean my PS5 myself?
You can safely dust the outside and the vents. We don't recommend opening it further: the fan connector is fragile and tears easily, and liquid metal must never touch the board. If your fan stopped after a home clean, we can repair the connector.
How long does a PS5 service take?
Most PS5 thermal services are completed within 1 to 2 working days, based on our live workshop queue. Board-level repairs such as a torn fan connector can take a few days longer. If you post it to us, add Australia Post transit time each way.
Is the service covered by warranty?
Yes. Your thermal service is backed by our 12-month warranty. Any new part we fit, such as a replacement fan, and any microsoldering repair carry our lifetime warranty. The warranty does not cover new physical or liquid damage.
